Personal Discipleship

Christianity and discipleship goes hand in hand. Every Christian needs discipleship. A Christian needs to be taught and have a teachable spirit. Discipleship comes from the word disciple (student). The Greek word for Disciple is MATHETES which means a leaner and doer of the word of God. A disciple is a follower or one who adhere to the teaching of The Master Jesus Christ

A disciple have unique characteristic, he or she has discipline. A disciple lives a disciplined life. A disciple never disobey The Master or the teaching given. So discipleship is the act or art of training another person or following your Lord and Saviour (Acts 14:21-22 KJV). A Christian has two callings (Luke 6: 12-13 KJV). 1st. A Christian has a call of God to be a disciple and 2nd. a divine call to be a minister who serves (to make others disciples). Every Christian have a ministry and ability to serve God.
