Money Stuff

Scripture Reference: 1 Peter 5:2-3 KJV/NKJV ( 2Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.)

You probably have heard Joyce Meyer and her teaching ministry. She is a Bible Teacher and many people are her ministry partners and fans. Joyce like other top ministers in America, her ministry is successful, she work in luxurious office, she is well paid, own several houses, drive best cars and travel in private jet. Notice: Joyce Meyer in recent years has completed positively a major Senate investigation of her financial records and riches (Source: http://www.wikipedia.org/). Other people has copied success from western countries to the extreme. Who said a senior minister should enrich himself/herself while his followers suffer loss, inadequacy and lack? It is time to put God first and help people practically.

One of the things that is questionable and raises financial tension in Christendom is public appealing for money. In UK God TV in recent years had to move their TV operation centre to Israel and open a branch in US because of tight financial regulations on fund raising. Nowadays in Christendom and secular world money is put first. No surprise, even preacher's message is branded "prosperity gospel" because of putting emphasis on money and controversial fund raising methods. In New Testament times, money was simply a ministry tool to the Gospel work but nowadays money is misused and abused (no financial transparency). There is no integrity in the area of money (filthy lucre). Who do we worship and serve? God not mammon!

Your sins forgiven or Satan is subject to you?

Scripture Reference: Luke 10:20 KJV/NKJV ( 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather[a] rejoice because your names are written in heaven.)

To get the good picture read from verse 17 to verse 20. Jesus Christ chose the 70 disciples and sent them two by two where He himself will go. The 70 disciples did testified the gospel, healed the sick and casted out the evil spirits. Then the 70 disciples returned to Jesus, and they were exceedingly joyful because of successful mission. They said to Jesus: Lord, even the evil spirits are subject to us in your Name! The 70 disciples were so amazed and made deliverance an issue, but Jesus rebuked them, He said: rejoice not that the evil spirits are subject to you but rather rejoice your names are written in Heaven. I.e celebrate that your names are registered in the book of life.

The greatest mission is not deliverance, healing or prosperity but salvation of a person. Salvation of a person is far greater than deliverance, healing and prosperity of a person. Casting out of evil spirits should not be an issue that makes us forget the real deal, whether the evil spirits goes out silent, screaming, vomiting or shaking. To the sons and daughters of God, casting out of evil spirits or chasing Satan, and obtaining spiritual results should be normal kingdom operation. The most precious thing happen to a person is not their deliverance, healing or prosperity but salvation. Salvation is not temporal here on earth but permanent in heaven-forever and ever (salvation is eternal).

MS: spirit, soul and body

Scripture Reference: Proverbs 20:27 KJV/NKJV ( The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart).

When God made man he created him in His image and glory. Although there is great theological debate between the spirit and the soul of a man (there is no time and space for that here). Man is not just soul and body, and when he died that is the end, no life after death. No, not so. Man was created by God spirit, soul and body. Man will live eternally either with God (in new Heaven and Earth) or with Satan (in Lake of fire/Hell). If the spirit of man come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, he/she is saved from sin, Satan and judgement to come.

The spirit of a man was created to be a king/master or ruler, his soul is a servant and the body is a temple/house. When Adam and Eve had relationship with God, the order of life was spirit, soul and body. But when Adam and Eve sinned against God, the order changed to body, soul and spirit. The spirit of man was dead spiritually (man lost relationship with God). The spirit of a man is important to God. Thus why, God wants you santified wholly and be preserved spirit, soul and body blameless; at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Mission East Africa

Scripture Reference: Acts 14:21,26 KJV/NKJV (And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch. And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled).
In the book of Acts, the Holy Bible shows the Holy Spirit had mission to Antioch, Asia Minor and other parts of the world. Barnabas and Paul were set apart from Antioch church and sent forth with a special mission to regions beyond the Antioch church. The Antioch church was known as a sending church and the Holy Spirit was known as the Spirit with a mission. What is the mission of the Spirit? The mission of the Holy Spirit is the gospel and work of God to all people and all parts of the world.
Today more than ever the region of East Africa need God and the Gospel. East Africa is facing real problems of society and States like idle worship, paganism, unemployment, famine and corruption etc. The solution to these problems is the mission of the Spirit which is the gospel and work of God. In the 80's and 90's there were Mission Crusades but today there is few or none. In 21st Century, we need God to raise sound ministers of the gospel who will address the root cause of the ills of the society and States of East Africa and point the people to Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour. We need to seek God for East Africa and act practically to solve East Africa-man-made-problems and those influenced by Satanic kingdom of darkness.

MS: Order and Authority set by the Holy Spirit

Scripture Reference: 2 Chronicles 26:16 KJV (But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense).

According to 2 Chronicles 26:16-18, King Uzziah judged by God because he did not follow order and respected authority. The Holy Spirit set temple order and authority of priests to serve God and minister in the house not kings or prophets. But King Uzziah left his office of a king and his palace to go to the temple to do things he was not ordained and appointed by God to do. When King Uzziah did so, The Holy Spirit allowed the judgement of God upon him and he was cursed with leprosy.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of order and authority. The Holy Spirit speaks and works through order and authority. If we are going to be successful we must follow order and respect authority set by the Holy Spirit. We must follow church order and respect pastoral authority (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13). The children of Aaron died because they did not follow order and respected authority. These two children brought a strange fire in the altar of God and God was not pleased, God judged them and they died at the presence of God (Leviticus 10:1-2).

The Fear of God

Scripture Reference: Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV (Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man)

King Solomon who was a wise and wealthy man in the world during his time wrote about the fear of God. King Solomon after being successful in his life and kingdom he learnt that the most important thing is to fear God. King Solomon did not fear God, he had one thousand women who turn his heart from following the true and living God. King Solomon lifestyle was terribly wrong and worst. Finally, King Solomon came to his senses and realized the greatest requirement of God to man is to fear God and keep his commandments.

The fear of God, what is it? It is the reverential fear of God. God is worth of respect. The reason why the Holy Bible was written is so that people may learn to fear God and keep his commandments. In Old Testament, the kings appointed to serve the nation were required to have a copy of God's book in order to learn to fear God and keep his commandments. The Apostle Peter said four things in 1 Peter 2:17, honour all people, love the brethren, FEAR GOD and honour the king (head of the state and/or government).

The acts of God

Scripture Reference: Acts 15:12 KJV (Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them).

The book of Acts is called the acts of apostles but it is actually the acts of God. In the book of acts, God did amazing things such as signs and wonders, God moved mightily in work and in word. The book of acts has no end. God is calling us today to once again experience the book of acts in our generation. God wants us to be the people of the Holy Spirit, that is we worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit on our side. These are not the acts of men but the acts of God, and it is the Holy Spirit who does them.

What are the acts of God? The acts of God are salvation, healing and miracles. God through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit saved people, healed people and did miracles to people. Barnabas and Paul took the gospel and work of God to the Gentiles (the non Jewish people) and God worked with them in a special way. And today more than ever, in 21 st century we need God to speak and work in our generation, see (Acts 13:36-37). Our generation needs God and the acts of God more than anything else.
